Animation Reel (2021)
My animation reel includes clips from all of my animation classes I have taken so far! The first 20 seconds are from Intermediate 2D Animation that I took in the Fall 2021 semester. 21 seconds to 42 seconds is from Tweening Animation for Artists that I took in Spring of 2020. 43 seconds to the end are from Intro to 3D Animation, which I took Fall 2020. These clips show the variety in my animation and characters.

we thought we heard a bear
we thought we heard a bear is a story about a young, nervous girl who wants to be a hero. She would dream about saving her family and proving herself, but even in her mind, she is scared and regretful. She doubts herself and ponders her actions, and when she is thrown back into reality, she realizes how powerful her imagination is.

Take Your Own Advice
Take Your Own Advice is about the bartender, not the girl. The bartender has always been a people watcher, none more interesting than bar-goers. When college students come in, they come in big, rowdy groups, but she came alone. She was quiet and kept to herself, not acknowledging anyone who tried to speak to her, unless it was the barkeep, whom she ordered from in no more than a couple words. It wasn't until the wee hours of the night and many drinks and shots later that she left, alone. The bartender thought about calling a ride for her, but couldn't find the words to say as she collected herself dizzy, and left. He wondered what would happen to her, would she faint in the street after too much alcohol? would she be followed? would someone try to approach her? where are her friends? All of these thoughts swirled in his head as he locked the door and lit his cigarette. He sat alone for most of the night, the LED lights in the bar his only company. What he would give for a life like hers.

Have You Heard the Story?
Have You Heard The Story? is a story about a magical fantasy world where everyday, the characters do things that we would consider magical and nonsensical as their daily routine. These storybook characters do not see themselves as a spectacle, they just mind their own business, completely unaware of the storybook-like world that they live in.

Birds
Birds is a 3D animation made with Maya. This animation felt very topical when I made it, after I realized I hated seeing all of the masks littered on the ground. It is not uncommon to see them everywhere nowadays, sometimes I see more of them a day than I see animals.

Is it Love? (or Mass Extinction?)
Is it Love? (or Mass Extinction?) shows a character who survived a catastrophic event and lost everyone she knew. She is in deep denial about it and chose to ignore all of the rubble around her. As time goes on, she realizes that she can't ignore everything forever, and sets off an explosive in the heart of her former, destroyed city, to destroy what was left of it.
